Frequently Asked Questions

We are a small, budget-conscious company. Can you help us?

Yes, in fact we work with companies that range in size from 1 employee to 1000 employees.

I have an existing phone system and don't know if I need a new one. What should I do?

Our philosophy is that you won't know the answer to that question without a proper evaluation of your system.
With that in mind, we recommend a free technology assessment from our team.

How long have you been in business?

We are entering our fourth year, have serviced over 40 industries, and have a combined 20 years experience in the telecommunications industry. Our skilled technicians are fast and friendly, and will leave you with the assurance that you made the right call!

How much do your phone systems cost?

They vary. With systems starting at $695.00, we offer affordable, customizable, expandable solutions that are designed to meet your needs now, and into the future. Some of our clients require very advanced systems that become more pricy, while others may only need some very basic features.
The beauty of these Talkswitch systems is that they come with all the whistles and bells you need, but may never have to use!

What types of phone systems have you seen?

Our clients have come to us with existing brands such as Avaya, Cisco, Panasonic, NEC, Toshiba, Mitel. Some of them more than twenty years old. While we CAN deal in any other brand, we believe the best available solution for the SMB (Small to Medium sized Business) is offered by Talkswitch. (

What happens when I contact your company?

While you may get voicemail at first, you'll be contacted by one of our sales professionals, (Not some call center or answering service that you might get elsewhere). We're a local franchise trying to earn every bit of business people entrust to us, and want to earn your approval, so you'll feel safe not only with your decision, but when recommending us to someone you care about. When you contact us, we will of course, like you, have some questions to help determine whether or not we're even the right fit for your company. We realize your needs may not match our ability, or vice versa.

Are Talkswitch phone systems easy to use?

Yes. These systems are known for their ease of use and can be set to do most anything you'd like or expect from a state of the art phone system. Forward calls to your cell phone or another extension, Caller and/or number i.d., auto attendant, parking calls, ring groups, music and/or message on hold, the list goes on and on. If you have a favorite MP3? Make it your hold music. Want to do an advertisement about your company with a captive audience? go for it!

Are the Talkswitch phone systems CONVERTIBLE to an existing "brand x" phone system?

Typically not, as brands are built within a "closed loop" system. However... the use of existing wiring is very common, and can save on cost. When purchasing a VoIP solution, you'll want to consider your existing phone service (or "carrier") to one of our partner companies* to ensure you're getting the best rate, coupled with the best offerings that meet your needs, and of course, receive excellent service.

So, are these phones reliable?

Very. We've been receiving high praise from our existing clients for the clarity on both ends of their calls, and the consistency with which they operate. They are built to last, and given the expandability, The Talkswitch system is an excellent economical choice for the small/medium sized business.

What about scalability?

One of the top features of these phone systems is the ability to add on as your business grows, whether it's more phones or more lines. Often times, companies realize growth within a short period of time. We will ask about growth potential prior to selling you a system to make sure you're making the best purchase not only for today, but well into the future. Here's a quick example. If you purchase either a VoIP or analog solution now, and need only need four lines, you can add more lines by adding to your existing system or by adding another box. It all comes down to what makes the most sense for you NOW. Either way, each system comes ready to accept up to 16 phones. If your system is set up for VoIP, the newly added phones DO NOT need to be IP phones, but can be simple analog phones, presenting a cost savings for you.

How long does it take to install my new system?

In many cases a few hours. Sometimes we need to come back, or even install after hours or on weekends. We're ready to accomodate you! Once we've ordered your new system, we'll contact you to discuss the particulars on who will get what type of phones, what you'd like them to be called, and what extension sequence we'll need to follow. The day of the install we'll train you and your staff on usage, make sure you're comfortable with the features and options, and be on our way.

Do you offer leasing/financing?

As we like to say no matter what the question about our service or our phone systems, the simple answer is Yes. We'll help tailor the right payment plan for you. Ask a sales representative for more information.
